The drive from Jaipur to Delhi is one of the busiest intercity routes in North India, and for good reason. It is about 280 km of six-lane highway, it takes around five hours, and you can leave whenever you like instead of fitting around a train timetable.
The route
Almost every cab takes NH48 (the old NH8). From Jaipur you head north through Chandwaji, Shahpura and Kotputli, cross into Haryana near Shahjahanpur, then pass Neemrana, Behror and Dharuhera before reaching Gurugram and Delhi.
Good to know
If you are going to IGI Airport, your driver will leave NH48 at Mahipalpur. For central Delhi, expect the last 25 km to take as long as the previous 100 km at peak hours.

Leaving early is the single easiest way to save an hour. Most of the delay is on the stretch between Manesar and Delhi, not on the open highway.
Where to stop
- Shahpura (about 60 km): tea, parathas and clean dhabas for an early breakfast.
- Neemrana (about 150 km): the natural halfway point. Food courts and the 15th-century Neemrana Fort Palace just off the highway.
- Behror: popular for its highway restaurants if you are hungry after Neemrana.

A one-way sedan cab costs from ₹2,999 with us, including tolls, state tax and the driver allowance. An SUV or Innova Crysta is a better choice for a family with luggage. Tolls alone on this route come to several hundred rupees, so always check that your quote includes them.
